Army SSGT Jack Williams, is a triple amputee in Kentucky. Jack served 6 years in the Army with deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor and received the Purple Heart for devastating injuries.  He is amazing and wants to share his blacksmithing skills with fellow veterans but needed adaptive equipment for his blacksmithing business fabricating knives.

"Work Vessels for Vets delivered a specialized forge and standing sander to meet his needs,” said John Niekrash, President and co-founder of the charity.  “It’s what we do!”

2022 STEVENS cattle fencingUSMC GYSGT Ryan Stevens was medically retired after conducting ten combat deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia resulting in injuries that earned two Purple Hearts and multiple valor awards including the Bronze Star.  He and his wife, also an injured Marine SSGT started a cattle farm in Maine.  In time, their injuries made handling the herd of Scottish Highlanders difficult without better equipment.  Work Vessels for Vets received a grant of $40,000 from an ”angel” donor” for the adaptive metal cattle fencing and other special equipment are now helping them grow their beef business.       “Using the new corral system was an amazing experience for both my wife and me.  A stress-free process for us and the cattle were calm.  This new cattle handling system is a life saver and a blessing.  Thank you so much,” wrote GYSGT Stevens.
