Brien K (right) joins his employee and fellow Marine veteran Hunter with some of the equipment provided.

Veteran Brien K. of North Carolina and a 100% disabled USMC GYSGT veteran recently received $7,800 in fine woodworking tools from WVFV to match $7,800 in other tools from The Semper Fi & America’s Fund. He started a custom woodworking shop specializing in high-end custom products using exotic wood.  He and his employee, another Marine veteran, make custom staircases, dining and conference tables, kitchen cabinets and other custom furniture.

“The picture shows some of the tools that you all purchased for us, the veneer machine is in the bottom right corner, it was used to build the spalted ambrosia maple veneer for the whisky cabinet pictured. we also used the harvey table-saw( not pictured, its too heavy to move) and the festool items are stacked on either side that we ordered from Rockler. Brien is in the dark shirt, and Hunter is in the lighter shirt, he is also a former marine, and works with us now.

I want to thank you again for all of the help and kindness that you all have showed us, we are forever grateful.”  Brien K
